父与子的英文读后感篇1
the article touches on themes of moral dilemmas that surface when money , love and affection collide. affection and love are the most precious emotions in the world. but there are something different when love and affection mix with money. some choose money , and the love is the choice of others.
in this story, molly killed her husband just for money. and jackie kill her mother because of love and money. in general, people in this family are selfish. they only care about themselves no matter how well the others do. however, the more attention the family to the others , the more love there will be. all members of the family get round the table and have a heart-to-heart talk and learn to care others more ,the result would be different.
well, what we especially family need most in this society that very rapidly developing ? the answer must not only be money. and the relationship would be better if we care about others more.
父与子的英文读后感篇2
based on mark twains novel, the millionaire pound note takes an interesting satirical look at the hypocrisy stemming from class distinction in the 50s england. england is a country where class and wealth are given extreme significance, especially among the rich.
the film shows the hypocrisy that existed among these people, how the rich are quick to change face when in an instant they find out that youre a man of wealth and how within the next moment they revert back to their condescending selves when all wealth is lost. interestingly, the millionaire also briefly looks at how the english perceived americans in that era. rich americans were welcomed as outsiders and the poor were quickly shunned away.
the fact that hes an outsider either makes him more appealing or the complete opposite. the story sticks to the main theme by emphasizing on the hypocrisy of the upper class society but at the same time it also creates a balance that prevents the movie from being a mockery of the british society. the movie drags at some point but the love story appears at the right time and there is plenty of comedy to keep one entertained.
a charming gregory peck totally nails the part and the luminous jane griffiths is a treat. reginald beckwith, as pecks sidekick rock is amusing. the ending is a little predictable but the director does an overall good job by rounding it up and presenting his points.
父与子的英文读后感篇3
floating, the feeling, a subtle feeling that leads you into the world. scarlett, naturally, she thought of beauty. the beauty of her appearance and the debauchery behind her are deeply infected. she was beautiful and charming, and her character was the direct and spicy of ireland. there was a crowd of men at the dance, all in the same light. she loves charm, she has become a joy in her life, they are just some of her dolls. but a man came into her world -- ashley. she was madly in love with her for a teenage fever. however, he married his sister, according to the family tradition, and because of his different character and scarletts. the impulse is the devil. sure enough. her self-esteem was hurt by jealousy and anger. she was impulsively married to a rich family, and was very much in love with her. but because of the war, in a few short months, scarlett became the bride, the mother, the housewife, the widow. war, war! how many lives and treasures it has destroyed. lose your mind everywhere, kill your life on the surface of your patriotism, consume your possessions, and splurge! what a hateful war. the women were left to make clothes for the army, and the hospital was filled with the smell of rotting skin.
the bloodstained flesh and the bed were deeply disgusted with scarlett. but a widow can show up. hate war! hated feudal society! the inequality of men and women has left scarlett, who is only 17 years old, unloved underground. you cant go to a party, a potluck, you cant flirt with a man, you can only wear a dark and ugly mourning dress. where was the beautiful scarlett? it is a pity that everyone expects it. among those who had lost reason, there was a cool man who came to her world. he was captain rhett butler. he was smart enough to feel the danger of the war. he bravely returned the goods from the enemy country and made a great deal of business. he was a beneficiary of the war and was spurned. he is essentially a gentleman. the goods he came in came to the relief of the country, a country that was more spiritual in times of war. scarlett was repulsive to scarlett when she heard all the content of ashleys confession in a single eavesdropping. but he gave scarlett a chance to dance. although scarletts fame was greatly damaged, she was met with great satisfaction, but her heart was a little afraid. the twists and turns of the story made me linger in the book, but i did not know the way back. curiosity and grief drove me to continue to swim.
父与子的英文读后感篇4
the hero holton, a complicated and contradictory young man, came into my sight with his mouth full of dirty words. his cynicism caused a negative rebellion. he believed that no one in the adult society was credible, all "false hypocrite", and he longed for simplicity and sincerity, but all was false and deceptive, and he was unable to change the situation, and finally compromised and even fled to the real society. in the real world, go to the backcountry to pretend to be a deaf and dumb person. but he has a childlike innocence, a pursuit of a better life and a noble ideal. in order to protect the children from falling off the cliff, he also longed to grow up as a "catcher in the wheat field", giving out the voice of "saving the children". in a word, he is a lonely and struggling man, but he is a man who demands the perfect man in the world and is helpless to yield to the reality. the kind and uneasy situation of the contradictory man is jumping, bleeding, and my eyes full of sympathy.
holtons actions and speech actions are like the "he" that we have gone through: cynical, cynical, but conscientious and loving, leng son, he always speaks aloud, sometimes aloud, his restless heart of youth.
reading novels, i seem to read the confusion and dissatisfaction of teenagers on their way to life. looking back at our current life, are there any struggles like holton? there must be a lot of it. the confusion of puberty must be faced. everyone in youth is probably holton. they walked through a lot of curves, narrow roads, dangerous roads, even cliffs, and then stood, sprint and run in a bitter struggle, and finally set foot on the road of life. perhaps hand and foot injury, perhaps head broken blood, perhaps exhausted, but finally will come over, his face has a firm smile.
the catcher in the rye is a twilight of youths lost journey. the confusion and loss of holton are always the confusion and loss of the growing people. i hope that the realities of holton will correct the deviations in the journey, step on the right track, and walk on the journey of life.
父与子的英文读后感篇5
here i am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what i have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time。 it is truly what i felt after reading oliver twist, written by the prominent british author charles dickens。
the resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what i lack deep inside。 these supreme resources isquo;m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention。 theysquo;re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another —— love and care。
those charitable figures whom dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life。 they showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply。
mr。 brownlow is one such person。
the other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, artful dodger and charley bates, and thought naturally it was oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place。 being wrathful, he caught oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked。 fortunately for him, oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards。 with sympathy, mr。 brownlow took the injured, poor oliver to his own home。 there oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were mr。 brownlowsquo;s own son。 one day, however, mr。 brownlow asked oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected。 the thief oliver once stayed with kidnapped him。 after that he disappeared in mr。 brownlowsquo;s life。 searching for a while, mr。 brownlow had to believe the fact that he had
run away with his money。 but dramatically, they came across each other again a few years later。 without hesitation, mr。 brownlow took oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil。
perhaps most of us would feel confused about mr。 brownlowsquo;s reaction。 but as a matter of fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him。 jesus said in the bible。 forgive not seven times, but seventy-times seven。 why is that? because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for。 we cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking。 stop put mr。 brownlow into the list of your models。 always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done。 thatsquo;s also a substantial part of loving and caring others。
charles dickens said:love makes the world go around。 these immortal words have inspired and will keep on inspiring us to chant the melody of love and to say the prayer of care forevermore。 let us, therefore, enjoy life and treat other people lovingly。 these principles are the roots and foundations of beliefs supporting this article and our mission together。
